Ingredients
- 1 cup 2% cottage cheese
- ⅔ cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
Instructions
1. Place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in short bursts of 20–30 seconds, stirring well after each interval, until fully melted and smooth.
2. In a high-speed blender or food processor, combine the cottage cheese, melted chocolate, and cocoa powder. Blend for 20–30 seconds, then pause to scrape down the sides. Blend again until the mixture is velvety and lump-free.
3. Transfer the mousse to a serving dish or portion into individual cups. You can enjoy it right away, or chill it in the fridge for about 30 minutes to thicken and intensify the creamy texture.
Notes
Use low-fat cottage cheese for a lighter option, though it’ll be a bit less creamy. For extra richness, try 4% cottage cheese. Swap milk chocolate chips for dark, semi-sweet, or mini chips just skip white chocolate, as it won’t melt well. Want it sweeter? Blend in 1 tsp of maple syrup or honey. A touch of vanilla adds flavor, but don’t overdo it or the mousse may get too thin.
